An upcoming Elden Ring VR mod from Luke Ross will feature a Discovery Tour-like sightseeing mode that will allow players to explore without the risk of combat.
Modder Luke Ross’ next VR mod for Ring of Elden will come with a tourist mode that allows users to explore The Lands Between without having to fight enemies. Ross has previously developed VR mods for Cyberpunk 2077 and Red Dead Redemption 2, allowing players to experience the wonders of two rugged open worlds through a new lens. The modder announced the new Ring of Elden build last month up Gamer on PC and in doing so, recounted the release of its plan to optimize action role-playing for VR first-person gaming.
Innumerable Ring of Elden mods continue to flood the internet, despite the title launching only a few months ago. So far, the incredibly talented modding community has added a wide range of features such as easy mode, reduced load times, pause button options, and a transmog system. Interestingly, a recent Ring of Elden mod even brought Darth Vader into FromSoftware’s fantastic open-world adventure. Such efforts won’t stop any time soon, either.
Those who support LucRoss‘REAL VR modding efforts on Patreon can expect a next one Ring of Elden VR mode (via Wccftech), which will include what Ross had called tourist fashion. Similar to Assassin’s Creed’s various offerings of Discovery Tour, Tourist Mode will focus on exploration, allowing players to freely explore The Lands Between without fear of being attacked by enemies. Not much has been shown on the unofficial VR version so far, but UploadVR recently posted a 15-minute gameplay preview on his YouTube channel which showcases the new Ring of Elden fashion in action. Find out in the following video:
As with any work-in-progress mod, the above gameplay footage has more than a few hiccups here and there. In some cases, the player character bar passes through the screen. Viewers will also notice occasional graphical and frame rate glitches appearing. However, this particular Ring of Elden The PC mod is very promising.
In addition to creating new content and improving existing game features, Ring of Elden modders have also begun to unlock some of the roleplaying game’s countless secrets. A member of the modding community, YouTuber Garden of Eyes, managed to uncover evidence of PvP arenas that were locked from the rest of the game. Meanwhile, YouTuber and dataminer Lance McDonald discovered that a dream-stealing mechanic coupé once featured a questline of its own. Ring of Elden undoubtedly hides countless other secrets.
