A recent Genshin Impact leak reveals a video featuring combat animations for one of the upcoming characters, Cryo polearm user Shenhe.
New additions to the character roster are creating tons of hype and are one of the most exciting events Genshin Impact players can expect. The recent official announcement revealed two new characters for the upcoming update, and Genshin Impact fans are understandably excited.
The release of the new Inazuma region brought several characters related to this region, and Gorou and Arataki Itto are the most recently announced. It looks like the story will return to the fan-favorite region of Liyue, as the two new characters Shenhe and Yun Jin are strongly tied to this part of the map.
Genshin Impact The 2.4 beta phase has begun and there are already several leaks of future content – including a brand new region that fans are calling Enkanomiya. Now, a credible leak on the Genshin_Impact_Leaks subreddit has revealed a video featuring Shenhe fighting off a grassroots hilichurl.
Over the past two months, miHoYo has introduced an interesting pattern of revealing new characters before the beta even arrived, presumably because the characters would be leaked on day one of the betas anyway. A recent leak on Reddit apparently revealed large parts of Shenhe’s kit, which can be seen below.
- Elemental Burst – unleashes the power of Sealed Spirit, allowing it to move and deal AoE Cryo damage. The spirit will leave behind a field effect that will lower the cryogenic and physical resistances of enemies in the field.
- Passive – Upon activating Shenhe’s elemental skill, his party members gain high damage or a skill buff, depending on how it was activated (hold or tap).
- Elemental Skill (tap) – allows Shenhe to dash forward dealing Cryo damage along the way, similar to Xiao’s skill.
- Elemental Skill (Hold) – Inflicts AoE Cryo damage for a few seconds.
Previous leaks regarding her element have been confirmed by official art, as she will be a new Cryo character. Her weapon of choice will be the polearm, and according to multiple leaks, she should be one of the strongest under-DPS characters in Genshin Impact. Shenhe will arrive alongside another Geo polearm character, the prestigious dancer Yun Jin.
Shenhe and Yun Jin will most likely be featured on the same banner cycle, which is great news for players who want to get them both. As for the second banner, previous leaks hinted that Xiao and Ganyu might get a new banner. This means that Update 2.4 could have a similar model to its predecessor, containing two new characters for one cycle and a strong double banner for the other.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4 and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
