Gunzilla Games Announces Off-Network Next-Gen Battle Royale Game

Gunzilla Games has unveiled a brand new video game in development as they create a next-gen battle royale title called Off-grid. It will be an entirely new experience in a third person view, designed specifically for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game itself will be set in a totally cyberpunk-style dystopian future, with the game aiming to emphasize narrative progression rather than just falling and surviving. The game is led by Neill Blomkamp and screenwriter Richard K. Morganin the same way Olivier Henriot (Far Cry, Assassin’s Creed). You can read more about it below as the game will release in 2023.

A Battle Royale like no other, in Off-grid, 150 players compete in PvP (Player Vs Player) skirmishes, as well as PvE (Player Vs Environment) scenario missions using the same map inhabited by other players in real time. Players have the freedom to control how the hard story unfolds, with every decision made having a direct impact on everyone’s gameplay. At the heart of the experience and deep narrative structure is the unique way players can craft, customize, and trade their in-game items with each other. In OTGthe lines between hero and villain become blurred as players fight to survive secret corporate battles of the future.

“With Off-gridour ambition is not just to create Battle Royale 2.0 by adding deep player progression, but to build an evolving world designed to take on a life of its own, changing in unexpected ways each time a player joins the game,” said declared Neill Blomkamp, CVO of Gunzilla Games. “With an innovative approach to the gameplay of the main Battle Royale session and a deep narrative experience, we add a purpose to every element of the game, allowing players to revisit the OTG world over and over where there is always something new to find and explore, and for us to develop. »
